Recommended Posts

Spider    142

Just curious about how other players set themselves up in a game of zombies, I know maps change and if you play solo or co-op but here is mine below.

99% of the time play Solo and Giant Map is my favorite just for been a simply map.

The Giant Map

KN-44 PAP'd with Thunderwall.
Dingo PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
ICR-1 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.

Perks = Jug, Speed Cola, Mule Kick, Double Tap. and Dead Shot depending on the Hidden Perk.

Gobble Gums = On the House, Cache Back, Kill Joy, Dead of Nuclear Winter and Alchemical Antithesis.

Shadows of Evil

KN-44 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
Dingo PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
ICR-1 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.

Perks = Jug, Speed Cola, Mule Kick, Double Tap. and Stamina Up.

Gobble Gums = Unquenchable, Cache Back, Burned Out, POP Shocks and Alchemical Antithesis.

Der Eisendrache

KN-44 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
Dingo PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
Lightning Bow.

Ragnarok DG-4.

Perks = All Perkaholic.

Gobble Gums = Perkaholic, Cache Back, Killing Time, Undead Man Walking  and Alchemical Antithesis.

Zetsubou No Shima

KN-44 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
Dingo PAP'd with Blast Furnace.
ICR-1 PAP'd with Blast Furnace.

Skull of Nan Sapwe

Perks = All Perkaholic.

Gobble Gums = Perkaholic, Cache Back, Secret Shopper, Undead Man Walking and Anyway But Here.

I dont have BO3 and I dont really have a most played map in the other games, but this is my most common set up:

Weapons: A light machine gun (preferably HAMR, HK21 and RPD) or an Galil or AK-74u, and a handgun (preferably Executioner, Python, Five-Seven, B23R (only in Tranzit) and Raygun (Mark 2)). I always first pack a punch my handgun, and later my primary weapon. I almost never buy a bowie knife, sickle or galva knuckles before round 10, mostly at the time I have money enough and don't know what to do with it. Althought in town, off course, I buy the Galva knuckles mostly before round 10.

If I get a wunderweapon out of the box, I always keep it, and I won't take a secondary handgun.

Perks: Jugg, DT Root Beer(in BO2 only), Vulture Aid(Buried), PhD flopper(in Ascension and Moon) and the other perks are always different, but I never buy Mule Kick.

I always buy Mule Kick for that third gun, I'm greedy lol.

I think it's great for BO3 when you get the wonder weapon as your third choice.

Weapons and strategy differ quite a bit between maps for me, but I always seem to run the same perks regardless of whether it's solo or co-op. I'm not a big fan of perkaholics, and usually go with Jug, Quick Revive, Speed Cola and Widows Wine. Sometimes I will substitute WW for Stamina Up, or take Stamina as a 5th perk. The other perks I can take or leave, but I hate deadshot daquiri with a passion! Every time I use a perkaholic I instantly check my aim assist options thinking aim assist is on. I turned it off for a reason!

Generally, I tend to run shotguns and snipers in BO3. KRM-262, 205 Brecci, Haymaker 12, Locus, SVG-100 or the Drakon. Shame that we have not had a bo3 zombies map yet with a sniper rifle on the wall.

It depends a lot of the map, number of players and EE or high round game. But there's some weapons/perks I use almost every game no matter what.

Weapons:

HVK-30 Dead Wire is turned out to be the "Galil" of this game for me. It has quite a lot ammo, it's effective (well everything is when double packed :P) and most importantly it's a wall weapon.

KRM-262 shotgun is what I often use in the giant and I try to get Thunder Wall or Blast Furnace to it. Again a wall weapon and once packed it's one shot to a relatively high round.

Wonder weapon of the map in SOE, DE and ZNS (Wolf bow in DE)

Perks:

Juggernog

Double Tap

Quick Revive (if playing solo or The Giant)

Speed Cola

Widows Vine in SOE

Electric Cherry in DE

Perkaholic (ZNS only)

Equipment:

Shield

Skull Of Nan Sapwe (ZNS)

Pretty much don't do the swords ever and Ragnarok only sometimes if I bother

Gobblegums:

These tend to change a lot but my favorites I use the most are:

In Plain Sight

Wall Power (ZNS)

Anywhere But Here

Phoenix Up

I sometimes like to try different set-ups to keep the game a bit more interesting, but these are what I like and use the most often.

Sometimes I run with the Drakon on The Giant Map PAP'd with Thunderwall, very powerful up to round 40+

If you want a good weapon you should try these:

Shadows of Evil: Kuda, HVK, Apothicon Servant

The Giant: ICR-1, Brecci

Der Eisendrache: KN-44 (or your own preferred AR), Storm Bow

Zetsubou No Shima: ICR-1 or HVK, KT-4 or the Haymaker

Basically when it comes to high rounds you want power over points, as everyone should know. Also, you don't always need the Wonder Weapon. Sometimes, Like with SOE or ZNS you run into too many problems with Wonder Weapons. The Apothicon Servant is so low on Ammo and the KT-4 is super weak if you're looking to speed through the rounds.

When it comes to Perks, I never get Widows Wine or Electric Cherry, where possible. I'd suggest other do the same if you prefer to train rather than camp. With one or even both or those, you create "terrain" by forcing the zombies to be stationary. That creates walls in your way, especially if you are training in tight, fast-paced locations. If you're training in Black Ops 3, take Juggernog, Double Tap, Speed Cola and StaminUp, even if you're playing Solo. You won't need to worry about Quick Revive considering that Black Ops 3's "Wonder Weapons" are so Over Powered. Also, if you die, you die, whereas if you just come back you run the risk of dieing as you run around to set up.

Gobblegums on Solo should be: Anywhere But Here, Arsenal Accelerator, Alchemical Antithesis, Cache Back or Kill Joy and Burned Out.

Co-Op on the other hand should be: Anywhere But Here or In Plain Sight, Coagulant, Phoenix Up, Aftertaste and Dead of Nuclear Winter (Crawl Space or Undead Man Walking if going for an Easter Egg).

These are both for High Round runs. In Co-Op you want to focus on supporting Gobblegums to keep your team alive. Some people should volunteer to use other Drop-related Gums, like Fatal Contraption (if you need to escort someone) or On The House. Of course everyone has their own choices for Easter Eggs, but everyone should have Crawl Space and Phoenix Up or In Plain Sight. Everything changes when it comes to factors like skill, player count, connection and general knowledge of the maps.

Obviously get the Shield and Special Weapon, as they don't require weapon slots to use.

I start off with buying a door or two and finding a point gun from the wall.

Then I open the map a bit to have power and save some money for Juggernog.

I try to buy ammo for the gun I have, but if it happens to be far away or out of reach I just replace it.

After that it's time to get more perks. 4 at max, usually only 3.

After that, it's down to doing 'everything' on the map.

Well, almost.... The full Easter Egg is unlikely and/or impossible.

It's more about getting the buildables done, possibly turning on the music and whatnot.

I've decided to go with the default gumballs recently.

I kinda like showing off compared to players with all the luxury gubblegums.

They won't play with randoms, so they don't dashboard on me either.

I hate it when my 3th gun is a good weapon, which I PaP before my other guns. When I go down, I lose Mule Kick and my best PaPed weapon. Thats why I dont buy it.

You will love BO2 Zombies as there is a gobble gum called 'After Taste' you get to keep all weapons and perks after been revived.

This is why I didn't like Mule Kick back in BO1 and BO2... and even now I don't like to use it. The fact that you might lose your best Pack-a-punched weapon and also the perk which costs 4000 points makes it not worth buying early, and I find other perks to be more useful anyway. Also it creates confusion if you think you're switching to your wonder weapon but don't remember there's this other gun before that.

Also in BO3 I think Mule Kick kinda lost it's point even more as I run out of ammo very rarely if I have double pack-a-punched weapons. In BO1 I felt like I need a third gun because I'm running low on ammo quite often, but now I can go like 10 rounds without max ammo or buying ammo off wall if I don't play stupidly...

The part where you get confused about the order and mess up yourself is the thing that bothers me most.

If I happen to get mulekick because I get a random perk for whatever reason, I just toss it in the Pack-a-Punch and let it vanish.

In a co-op game with friends, I just down myself, lol.

360 here, so I have DE and SoE.

SoE:

Solo: jugg, QR, W'sW, DT2.

Early guns are KRM wallbuy, Kuda or VMP wallbuy.

Middle game guns are pap'd shotgun for margwas, lmg with turned for camping.

Late game guns are Apothicon Servant and blast fire shotgun.

Mp perks + guns: SU replaces QR, RG or Shotgun may replace AS.

Sword upgraded.

Normal Solo GG: Alchemical A, Arsenal A, IPS, Armamental A, ABH!.

Long Game Solo GG: Alchemical A, Pop Shocks, Arsenal A, Unquenchable, IPS.

-------------

DE perks (solo and mp): Jugg, QR (xp and less stress), DT2, eventually i buy SU (very rarely attempt wunderfizz perk).

Weapons: Bow (solo Storm or Demon but i build all, mp any Bow), VMP early, shotgun or Raygun later (for Panzer). Ragnarok.

Normal Solo GG as SoE.

Randoms GG: Alch A, Phoenix Up, Arsenal A, IPS, ABH! (On SoE, i run Now You See Me over ABH!).

---------------

I get shield of course, and monkeys or Lil Arnie if possible. Though in solo, i try not to move the box so I'll pass on them. In MP, i try to get them for revives.

That's one little trick I always wonder about. So you don't move the box, so you have better chances of getting a max ammo.

What if you just box and get the monkeys? You can toss one to get a new gun, toss two more to pack a punch it.

Besides, since they invented Blast Furnace or Deadwire, a wall gun is where it's at.

I think you can roll the box whatever you want. Then again, I'm not the one to camp with any wonder weapon.

Do you leave the box where it is, so you can camp with a wonder weapon?

Or is there something that I'm missing?

Mostly just to get Max Ammo more commonly.

I like to save monkey (arnie) for revives in mp games, and for after i go down in solo games, so i can safely get perks.

In camping games, the lower rate of max ammos is very noticeable as you burn ammo quicker and you don't want to see a stupid fire sale pop up instead.

I don't camp much, but i do like to. I just usually opt for higher rounds, which means training, or hybrid camp and move (like camping Fancy Grind in SoE, the "Unmazing Method", ha).

Training,  ammo isn't often an issue between Blast Furnace and Alchemical Antithesis. It's just the old habit to not move the box. Shrug.
