Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Information

I have made this post to gather up all known information about Multiplayer in Black Ops 3. A lot of these sources come straight from Treyarch and Charlie INTEL. If I have missed anything or if something else has been found please tell me so I can updated this post. This will be a continually updated post up until Black Ops 3 is released, once it is I will update it with all relevant information.

Specialists Classes:

Black Ops 3 will feature a new specialist character system in Multiplayer inspired by Destiny. Treyarch has added a new way for players to rank up and level up. The title features nine specialists, each with two abilities, for a total of 18 choices. You get to pick one specialist and one of the powers before every match, similar to how you create a class before matches. For each class there is the pick 10 system but only guns, perks and grenades can be chosen. To gain the abilities you must fill up a meter which will not reset when dying.

Ruin:
Power Weapon: Gravity Spikes – Nearby enemies are taken out by a powerful shock wave.
Ability: Overdrive – Players are given the ability of a burst of speed for a short period of time.

Seraph
Power Weapon: Annihilator – A high-caliber revolver that instantly kills any enemies in its bullet’s path.
Ability: Combat Focus – A multiplier is temporarily added to your score in order to help players rack up score streaks.

Outrider
Power Weapon: Sparrow – A compound bow that has explosive bolts which stick in enemies and kill them.
Ability: Vision Pulse – Vision Pulse senses where nearby enemies are and highlights them for a short period of time.

Reaper
Power Weapon: Scythe – The Reaper’s robotic arm will transform into a powerful mini-gun.

Ability: Glitch – This teleports players to the position they were at a few seconds before.

Paintshop: This allows players to create and add their own camos to weapons. There are up to 64 layers which can be customized and placed on three sides of the weapon, on top of what the weapon already looks like. Carbon Fiber Material can also be added onto weapons. Also these paint applications will be able to go over regular camos which can still be chosen.

You should start with movement abilities too!

Swimming-

Sliding-

Dashes-

Thrust-Jumping-

Although you may ALSO want to hold off on that as there's a good possibility certain characters can't move as freely as others when the final build comes out.

Like a robotic character may swim slower then a human character, but can thrust jump higher. We'll need more stats to confirm any of this.

Yeah I am going to do movements etc but due to all the diversity in maps, lack of explanation on movement and just not playing it I will hold off on it. But thanks for pointing it out I did think about it.

I am gradually updating it, I have added a list of known weapons and all perks. I am still looking into other info at the moment though.

Deal breaker: scavenge grenades? I won't buy another cod without a basic mechanic of gameplay such as this. From what i understand, Trollarch thinks 'one per life grenades' is stupid, so hopefully that mechanic will be fixed properly, but they don't have a very good track record themselves for doing the right things in a cod game. But BO2 was pretty decent, if they had just ditched nuketown, firing range, and summit (I mean, they knew bo1 mp tanked and was reviled, so leave memories of that crap in the past, please).

Also, killstreaks in the last two games have been shamefully bad, mainly because of domination, so i hope that they can make them have different lifespans depending on game type. In Regressed Warfare, a sentry gun lasts 30 seconds, whether it fires or not. 30 freaking seconds in tdm? That is trash.

Excuse me? BO1 is probably one of the best cods out there. Firing Range is actually a fairly decent edition, and none of the memories are "crap". Just because you personally do not like a game, doesn't mean you need to hate on it. Even if it wasn't good to the general public, it still have more players than Ghosts and Mw3 combined. I can agree with you completely on ditching Summit and Nuketown. They're trash maps. But Firing Range is an amazing map, one of my personal favourites.

BO1 is, by miles and miles, the best COD MP in history IMO.  There was really only one map i didn't like (Cracked)  The weapons were awesome and plentiful.  Cod points and contracts were a blast.  It was fantastic.  The only thing i dislike is how popular nuketown was, because here we are in 2015 and people still want nuketown
