Can you give a link, please?

So you in in San Diego?

Close to Treyarch there.

Nxva - Nova.

Welcome to Codz.

I like your Avatar.

Regards Alpha.

The image is from the abandoned game-mode 'Meat' which was either an early concept for Grief, or an alternative version to it. Either way the image is from the BO2 game files and has been known for a long time now.

Thanks for the clarification Zen. I had never seen the image before, but after finding a higher-res version of it, I realized this was not something needed to be looked further into.

Everyone has missed the point. Which I thought the thread would have been about.

Jimmy has his resume on that site.

It states his experience is -

Creative/Gameplay Concept Director (Current Project), Treyarch

Santa Monica, CA — 2014-2015

Notice it says "2014-2015"

If I still worked for a company, it should say "2014 - Current"

Does Jimmy no longer work for Treyarch?????

Serious Troll if he doesn't. Haha

That's a nice 115 you got there.....it would be a shame if someone were to give you another brain

To be honest, my response above initially said, proof that Jimmy is no longer working at Treyarch (before I edited it out). You don't put a date in for your current, what you do is you put "2014 - present".

@PINNAZ you did the 115, congrats bud.

From his CV:

Creative/Design Director (Zombies),

Treyarch

Santa Monica, CA — 2010 present
Responsibilities included working with studio heads and partners to
create and plan development strategies. Set high level goals for Call of
Duty Zombies development and gameplay goals. Directed efforts of a
multidepartmental team to conceive of and deliver high quality Zombie
experiences, based on the overall studio strategy, for both the shipping
disc and subsequent downloadable content season. Specific duties
included, but not limited to, setting requirements for setting,
style/theme and gameplay mechanics per map. I set requirements for
and attended user test sessions, compiled feedback data which, used
in combination with studio head and the publisher feedback, was
extrapolated into key elements to guide direction and iteration. During
development I also worked with production to set schedules, navigate
course corrections and support marketing strategies through game
release. I worked closely with all departments to design and craft the
final gameplay experiences, many of which broke sales and player
retention records for Activision's DLC strategy. Working directly with
script writers, voice actors, design, engineering, art and animation to
ensure overall quality and game wide consistency of experience.

&

Creative/Gameplay Concept Director (Current Project),

Treyarch

Santa Monica, CA — 2013 present (2015 Black Ops 3 *I added this, what else could it possibly be?)

Working with Studio management to develop overall concepts for
unannounced project. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, new
gameplay exploration ideas and design. Creating design “one sheets”
and requirements documents for friendly and enemy characters.
Responsible for conceiving and writing design documents for
weapons/gadgets, and constructing coop gameplay frameworks for
mechanic concepts and designs requirements.

...

Let me put the last nail in this coffin.

I sent Jimmy a care package, I sent it to the Treyarch offices.

Part of it was addressed to Mark Lamia.

I know down to the minute when it arrived, not an hour later Jimmy tweeted out the picture.

Q. How could he have gotten it so fast if he wasn't there in the offices?

Even Black Ops will be coming to an end sooner or later.

Unless they are doing BOIV, which I don't see happening.

Jimmy is putting the feelers out for his next project after Black Ops 3.

All good things come to an end.

Jimmy's not a troll, he's just misunderstood.

Regards Alpha.

@PINNAZ He simply hasn't updated his curriculum with the announcement of Black Ops 3 yet.
It now says that throughout 2014-2015 the current project he's working on (i.e BO3 Zombies) - at the time of writing his CV - has yet to be officially announced. Doesn't mean he left the company.

Does Jimmy no longer work for Treyarch?????

Serious Troll if he doesn't. Haha

I have been told by a close friend that he left Treyarch at Christmas. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen, but I have zero reason to doubt his word. Strange though why he is still tweeting as if he is still working for them.

Either way, I am sure we will find out eventually.

Does you friend have proof or did he just say it? It doesn't make sense that he would be at 3arch Studios like Alpha said if he wasn't working there.

Remember that Mark Lamia said that Zombies was grass roots, it was Jimmy's baby.

No way he left it like it is.

Who is the close friend?

Come on, name & shame.

Any zombie related story that starts, a friend told me or my dads mate works at treyarch...

They all end up being bullshit.

Ask him for details, who, when , why, where?

If he avoids answering them as best he can, then I'm afraid he could be a bit of a bullshitter.

Sorry, just the way I see it.

I've made contact. Direct contact.

Lets just enjoy the build up to zombies.

Codz was all about Theories back in the day.

If you're wrong, so what... There is no such thing as a bad idea, just poorly executed ones. (Tranzit)

Any way, time will tell.

We should start a codz pool on whether Jimmy's name will be in the credits.

These guys have to sign non-disclosure agreements, violating it could cost them their Job, their home, their way of life.

Regards Alpha.

AlphaSnake was the first to make contact with the elusive race known as Treyarch. He sent them a package showing what humanity thought of their culture. But, he never expected them to send weapons of mass destruction in return. :P

This information (apparently) came directly from a well known Treyarch dev who plays on PC with my friend (and a user of this very site), and no, I am absolutely not going to name their source. Just saying what I have been told in response to Pinnaz' message.

It could be a troll, or even a miscomunication. Either way, it's funny how Jimmy took his employers out of his Twitter not long after I was told this. Again though as I have already said, we will know one way or another soon enough.

I don't care whether anyone believes me or not. My reply was simply in response to Pinnaz. I am just telling him what I was told. I don't even care if it's true or not anyway. He (Jimmy) is just a guy. I care about the game-mode, not necessarily those who make it.

Anyway... what is this big fuss? and talks of NDA's? This is a developer of video games. If they leave then it is not tied into any NDA like a video game secret is. People leave or move to new companies all the time and it is no big secret when it happens.

If you want to speak to the source, speak to YdaJdiMstr. He is the man in the know.

Its a public forum, saying stuff like that is bound to get people asking about stuff.

Yeah, I understand that and definitely considered not replying, but when Pinnaz brought it up I thought "Hmm... maybe Eric is telling the truth after all", so replied. I have doubted him a few times myself when I have seen Jimmy tweet out but he assures me his source and friend is not lying to him.

8JbWcse.png

So I can only take his word for it. I have known Eric for 3 years and he would not lie to me, so either his friend (and Treyarch employee) is lying to him, or Jimmy has decided/been told to keep it low key. I have no reason to doubt Yoda, so I will believe him until proven otherwise, though I do admit that his tweeting always seems to relate to the next game so it's strange.

Another thing to note though was that Jimmy's website was also updated (full site not just links) to a new snazzy looking site in January, and his CV is on the front page with a new objective added to it saying he is actively looking to join a creative and driven team. Sounds like someone who is looking for work.

Remember that Mark Lamia said that Zombies was grass roots, it was Jimmy's baby.

No way he left it like it is.

Well Jimmy may have been deeply invested in zombies, but Jesse Snyder is the man responsible for zombies, not Jimmy, and it is well regarded as being his baby.
