Anonymous threatens Activision as result of reveal trailers

Recommended Posts

I found this article earlier today...

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/338354/20120508/anonymous-hackers-cod-black-ops-trailer-activision.htm

Anonymous reacts unkindly to being portrayed as cyber terrorists within Activisions's recent trailers.

ti3K0vbMCNc

Greetings fellow users. It has come to our attention that Activision entertainment company used our collective as a bad example to other players all over the world. Selected company presented us as a terrorist group with plans to hijack planes and others. This is our reply to the selected company Activision: We are not terrorists, we are fighters for freedom in every aspect of meaning. However, if you want to present us in that way we will need to take action against your company and online servers. We will hijack military system and use valid date to control over the parameter. We will deface your online game servers and make damage of millions of dollars to your company. This act will show you how serious our collective us, and that we will protect any human who calls himself Anonymous. The time has come to expand our collective. It is time to take steps on streets, protest and other public actions in order to bring one step to mission and create a public team who will proceed with the mission. Again this is the act of all of us who share the same idea and mission. To others, our message is continue to share data, links and other protest space. That is all steps to one great plan, a final mission that will free the system form potential threats. So you can see, we are all one team, Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Activision, expect us.

Dude....

I hope they dont mess with BO2. No patches would kind of stink for zombies if there is no beta.

In seriousness, anonymous generally has my approval, but if they are going to mess with Activision, they should do it without detriment to the players, like messing with their actuall website rather than their servers.

(just a suggestion)

Pretty suggestive who the enemy might be, eh?

How does Anonymous even know if it is them that acti is potraying in the game?

Activision didn't outright say it, but it was highly suggested during the reveal trailer that Anonymous may be the types cyber terrorist who would be responsible for these types of futuristic scenarios.

The clip I'm referring to is shown in another Anonymous video I just found

oGh1BidfNEg

For my understanding of Anon's point of view, Anonymous claim to be freedom fighters. Terrorist are among their enemies. And they will not tolerate being associated as the 'enemy'. This is why they are prepared to take this libel issue seriously.

How does Anonymous even know if it is them that acti is potraying in the game?

It was implied, i dont think it has anything to do with them "hacking" activision, as activision most likly makes its games on either an offline or closed circuit system.

My guess being closed cicuit, as offline would mean ALOT of paperwork ;)

How Anonymous are Anonymous?

Or to word it another way,

Would it be useful to a goverment or ruling system/ structure to have an army of hackers and activists that have no leadership to maintain a status quo. Given what we know about mob structers and herd thinking, how easy would it be to manipulate those who think they are fighting the good fight?

Anonymous are a CIA front group.

They are used against the people when the establishment needs to pass some new & invasive cyber laws...

This is the Hegelian Dialectic in action.

CIA uses Anon to cause a public out rage in gamers... Something must be done we say... The Government (CIA) can then say look here we have these laws already to go... PIPA, SOPA, PRO-IP & the new one is OPEN I believe...

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

All anon are not CIA of course, but like most resistance groups, anon has been co-opted by the intelligence agencies.

Those genuine people who flock to Anonymous' cause are burnt by its leaders. Just look at the LOIC debacle.

It is well known that when a real group emerges, they are infiltrated by police & other agents. Given a long enough period of time the agent could rise to leadership postions. Thus the organization is co-opted, becoming useful opposition that can be guided.

George Sorrows is a master of this technique.

I will say this which I posted over on CoDZL also:

Indeed, I know how you feel on this.

Take Zombies for example, people love Dr. Richtofen the Nazi butcher.

They hated Sam, the first thing they did when they saw her on Moon was shoot her no doubt.

Do you see the moral issue here?

I have made that point a few times on CoDz.

Seems to me that we should have been looking to save Sam not destroy her.

Anyway back to North:

I posted this in the main viral thread.

Hmm, Oliver North is/was knee deep in Rex 84 also, that makes the irancontra look like chicken feed.

Also what troubles me is that the MIC is the one building these drone armies yet Oliver thinks that some hackers will be the ones to turn them against us.

This is wrong is so many ways.

The people who are most likely to hack these are the MIC themselves.

Using the "it was terrorist hackers" isn't going to cut the mustard.

In the series they showed a V for vendetta mask.

Which Anonymous uses, I suspect that anonymous are a CIA cyber front.

Any attack from our own drones should be viewed & investigated very carefully. False flags come to mind.

If they are so worried about losing control of these drone armies, then I think they should think twice about expanding on the ones they already have.

Just because we can, does not mean we should.

Regards Alpha.

Mix look up this:

Rex 84: FEMA's Blueprint for Martial Law in America.

Ug0IL7k3elQ

Now look at the news about the TSA expanding, Drones being used in the USA domestically by DHS.

You can thank Faust for sharing this one:

Summary, Oliver is feeding us propagada. This is the problem phase.

Anonymous is hurt & threatens to retaliate which will hit us gamers (innocent in all this). This is the reaction phase.

The Government slaps it's cyber laws on the table (SOPA, PIPA, OPEN, PRO-IP ACTS), the people (Us gamers) say "Yes please, we want our servers back". This is the solution phase.

Congratulations you have just been played like a harpsichord.

This is called the thin edge of the wedge, once in they drive it home. (Thick end of the wedge)

Result is that the Government will selectively clamp down on any website or group it feels is a threat to themselves.

My advice is to do nothing.

Forget Anonymous was ever in the Documentary.

If we do not react, then there can be no solution offered.

Hope this makes sense.

Oh, here is the latest on flase flags:

This attitude will lose you online rights & liberties... Think carefully before reacting in this way.

Did you two not read my post?

No opinion on that bomb shell information?

Look past the curtain, see the man behind it. (Probably George Sorrows).

Does anyone find it ironic that the guy from Prison PLanet tv, is able to shout about his view of the world as oppressed, because he is shielded by laws such as freedom of speech?

I was just thinking to myself that if he was held accountable to the same levels of journalistic integrity that other more legitimate news channels are, he might not have enough content left to make a show from. Its kind of like watching a photo negative of Bill O Reilly on Fox news. I think they call it a news show?

I guess the beast that is ignorance does not choose sides.

I would say ignore the delivery boy & look at the papers he is delivering.

Alex Jones, is overdone. But that said if your dealing with this information on a daily basis it can get you into an angry state of mind.

However he does provide links to Government documents on Government sites.

His guests are mind blowing. (Most of them not all)

If you can just get past not liking Alex, the information is sheer dynamite.

Please if you don't know what Rex 84 is, why the TSA are on the streets of America, why is DHS building a drone army for domestic use, why all the terror propaganda, why the fema camps.

Trouble is coming if you believe it or not...

If you haven't noticed the world is in a depression of unseen proportions... There is no recovery coming.

As things get worse crime will grow, food is already getting expensive.

The dollar is in a state of collapse, when it goes to zero, just like in Germany, you will have anarchy.

DHS is setting up for civil war with armed Americans, the evidence is all there.

Look at Greece for example, news this week is that the Neo Nazi group Golden Dawn have entered the greek parliament FFS.

This could happen all over the place.

Summer 2012 is set to be a wild one.

Regards Alpha.

Bottom line is Anon is just like every other entity co-opted by the firm or not. IE; they are in it for their own agenda. This is a stupid publicity grab from a group who has proven themselves irrelevent.

They say they are freedom fighters... So did Al-Queda, the Taliban and the Khmer Rouge. Stating you are freedom fighter does nothing... Fighting for your right to pirate games/movies/music does not make you a patriot. If Anon were actually freedom fighters they would focus on the problems of the world that they could fix (project mayhem anyone?) Instead they grab the spotlight like the vapid cast of the Jersey Shore and bleat louder than the rest of the sheep.

As far as "FEMA" goes they are very real front of the shadow goverment and they have all the pieces in place for when they decide it's time...

I would say "One mans freedom fighter is to another mans Terrorist."

It is all a matter of perspective...

Personally I see two illegal wars being ran by the real terrorists which would be our corrupt Governments. Especially in the US & UK.

I mean come on, have you see the standing army that the UK has ready for the 2012 olympics?

All for a few Al CIA da terrorists...

Man give me a break.

Regards Alpha.

For all you guys pooping on Anonymous right now.

Did you know Anonymous took down a big online child porn ring last year...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/22/anonymous-hacks-lolita-city_n_1026327.html

That's not self-serving. That's not an act of terrorism. That was a case of cyber-heroism. This is the type of stuff Anonymous is really about!

Yet this story, and others like it, go way under the radar. All the public wants to remember is that these are the guys that took down the PSN servers last year.

I'm sure there are plenty of you who are willing to allow your freedoms be taken away from you, just as long as you don't lose your freedom to play online video games. That's a sad state of mind. Don't be a sheep.

Alpha was right in saying that one man's Freedom Fighter, is another man's Terrorist. I can't recall anyone who has ever been labeled as a 'terrorist', actually call themselves one. They usually refer to themselves as freedom fighters. What you need to do is disregard the labels, and analyze the intent.

The problem with Anonymous is there is no real structure in the organization. Anyone can become a member, and they have to police their own. So the fact that rogue members will eventually go off and do extremist type stuff, in a way that will put down the reputation of all Anonymous members, is likely what will be their downfall.

Understand that under Anonymous's own Code of Conduct, anyone who wears the Guy Fawkes mask, does so with Good Intentions

I'm not a sheep. I just know that if I disagree with something I don't act like a kid and bring down Cooperation websites and hack things to get my point across. Freedom of speech can be used and many ways but hacking a website just to prove you can is simply silly.

This has nothing to do about games. It's about abiding the law. If you want to live in a country with freedoms you must abide it's laws. If you want change, give peace a chance. Look at what Lennon did during the Vietnam war. Anonymous is simply going on about it the wrong way.

I agree with everything you just said, but that really has nothing to do with Anon.

They haven't really done one meaningful act. Sure they messed with Sony for a bit, called some people names and released a couple emails and addresses. Aside from that though it's been mostly useless headline grabbing. What I was saying was they really can't be considered either Terrorist or Patriots as they haven't done much of anything. Vandals maybe.

As far as the middle east goes... Yeah we caused most of that. Our bad.

****Edit: If the above is true about the porn ring then I redact the statement about "One meaningful Act"***
