  1. We have implemented a new feature that allows you to add your Steam Status into the user profile area, and also allows you to add your Xbox, PSN and Steam information into the user profile area. Very easy to update, to update do the following Steam - go to your profile page by clicking on your username or select profile from the menu in the top right of the site. Click on edit profile and then select manage steam. Sync the singin for steam with CoDz and approve and you can now login with your steam login information (as well as retaining normal forum signin information, or Twitter or Facebook if you have linked them also). In the main profile page on the right, you'll see Steam profile, options, click on option and validate ID (just to make sure, you'll get a pop up confirmation). Then click on update and that's it. For utilising the PSN, Xbox & Steam Gamertag - simply repeat process and select Xbox/PSN and fill in the relevant information (remember for Steam to click either link to create information image. Any questions or problems, let us know. The user information area will not directly say which is xbox, PSN, steam at the moment but I'll edit this and change accordingly.
  2. I believe it's about 15 pixels per line, so x that by 10 and you have the max height of an image (not affected if it's within a spoiler though) - I think we are going with a max image height of 240 to 300 pixel height. Will need to double check how this is going to look and what impact it has etc.
  3. We have had our monthly staff meeting and as a result of this meeting the signature areas will be reduced, you will have 48 hours to reduce the size of signatures. We will be limit the signatures to 10 lines (from the 25 lines currently) this will need to incorporate any images and text that you have, so if you want to create a spoiler and put your images and such like within the spoiler (like my sig) then please do so. This change will come into effect on Saturday 7th June 2014 User profile information (next to the posts) - this will also be condensed, the custome fields for highs and so forth will be removed and moved to profile page, this will be changing with immediate effect (tomorrow after I've had a sleep). We have also moved the CoDz awards to underneath the signature field, effective immediately and will show 10 medals at a time.

  6. That's cool, it has lost the formatting, it happens.
  7. Sorry Arisen, I'm going to format your post to make it readable, you could have a look at the formatting 102 topic
  8. We decided to with CoDz Olympics this week & next week. I think we are swapping to a new topic every 2 weeks but not sure on this. Anyway CoDz Olympics if for everyone and we thought it would be better suited for the Feature topic and to draw attention to it and get others signed up to it.
  9. Hey Guys, TOTW is back! I'm sure over the last 2 weeks you have seen some amazing threads out there. Let's get one of them featured! Last weeks winner - @Rissole25 with his amazing Comic Tears topic - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/159344-the-comic-tears/ I'm going to leave the nomination open for a little longer, around 24 hours and continue forth with that schedule. 10. Well, still got a bit of testing to do before I do it on a live forum but everything & I mean everything, is pointing towards this being successful. Once that's done, I can probably say, the work that I joined the staff to do is complete. What's left ? Obviously the community, but that goes without saying - but things that have been broken have returned, new forum software and so forth - so what's left to be done, what does the community want? I've got minor things to do but the large work will be complete.
  11. Well, I was thinking of putting them alongside the current asylum and stories/theories & leaving them intact but merge the asylums into one. I felt it would be a little unfair to split the work up so leaving it as is but tidier is the way forward.
  12. Ach well, I suppose I better share the news with you all then eh!
  13. Just a quick update. I've deleted over 700,000 spam posts and over 400,000 topic titles from the vBulletin forum, this will make the conversion process go a lot smoother on the test site (both vBulletin and Invision are in test enviroments and not the live versions). So, conversion number 2 in process. As so much crap has been removed I shouldn't have any tables lock up with errors & it should "in theory" be a lot smoother.
  14. Bit of a setback folk's, a few tables locked up during the night, so I'm going to reduce the amount of posts and topics being converted (most of them are spam anyway). So I need to do it again from scratch but it's nothing to worry about it.
  15. Man, this has taken 2 days to get to this stage. Thanks to Nick transferring the relevant databases I needed to perform "Major" surgery, I have been able to get the following fixed. I have managed, "drum roll" to get the vBulletin forum, converted to Invision Forum Software. Stage one of the 48 hour surgery complete. I'm not bashing anyone, not what I'm here to do, but it was unfortunately in a bit of a mess and took a bit of work to get into a working state. Database wise, tables had crashed, needing repaired & the database itself was over 4Gb in size, so importing it through phpmyadmin is a no go and needs to be done at the shell level or have the tables broken up and inserted and then the insert comments inserted. Thankfully, I was able to shell the database into a new database, I was able to get the tables repaired and optimized and WE are one step closer to recovering Asylum Training Facility Research Facility So what we thought we had lost, is now 1 step closer to being recovered (completely). Now the difficult task, is to ensure that when I go to import the tables that exist for topics and posts converted from vBulletin, do not clash with the topic/post reference ID's on the current forum. Obviously we won't be performing this on the live site until I'm confident that everything will work the way it is intended to do so. I said we had a lot more to bring you & this is another of the things I've personally wanted to do since the very day I initially offered help. Anyway, here's a little post to wet your appetites - this doesn't mean it will work, so I just wanted to warn you now that it might not. However, I'm confident I can get things merged with the current forum database without issues.
  16. Once get the issue dealt with it will automatically update advising when someone has started streaming, how many are watching etc, it will only show featured but I don't see any reason why we can't feature all streams. If we have more than 5 on, it will feature the ones with the most viewers.
  17. Nope, it calls the usergroup colour, I can't change that (well I can, but it would only be the colour being called).
  18. Problem is, the usergroup colour. Whether white, pink, purple, orange or any other colour, will be represented for that usergroup everywhere.
  19. Having had it active for some time, I initially liked the white but I think it's too much, I think we should go back to orange (in fact, we'll probably make the change back to orange today).
  20. Anyone that add's a stream has the ability to be a featured stream and on the sidebar
  21. Yeah, I'm all for using the search function and the random post generator but bringing a 17 month old post back to ask that question seems nonsensical to me.
  22. @Phantom Doesn't have to be bud, if you are streaming something and members want to watch then that's grand.
  23. Hey Folk's Just thought I would mention, that I'm looking at the reasons as to why the sidebar item doesn't update when someone is online and why it doesn't do this in the main stream page either. It hasn't been forgotten about, just a million and one other things going on and it's "not a massive issue". Anyway, upon further investigation, we need to upgrade the version of PHP we use on the server, once we upgrade this we should be good with the system updating itself. We're on the case and will update you all in due course.
  24. @Nemesis_96 Good point, I need to change the hover hex colour, it was set to white when it was orange, so I need to change that. @ Good shout, I just made them pink to embarass them lol
