  1. That's true. I guess they were also winking at the fact that Zombies aren't regular men. Still BO2 lacked a fun zombies challenge like No Man's Land. I think that was the last time a video game challenge was so intense I actually broke a sweat.
  2. I've got the Gold Shovel after digging roughly 50 spots, ~47 - ~52 so I'll just say 50 is most likely. Gold Helmet I got at ~67 - ~ 72 spots so I'll say roughly 70 spots. So: Gold Shovel @ 50 Gold Helmet @ 70 (20 after you get the Shovel) I didn't see anything physically dug up when I dug these spots, I just noticed the Icon changed color and the other icon appear. Fun Tip: -If you're playing with a female you can bug them about being a male with a "fe" first. -Then, (whether she gets the previous "dig" or not) wait until she digs a spot and imply out that she's a gold digger. Works especially well if she gets Zombie Points. -Then if she starts getting mad, politely remind her that she is probably on the wrong map, and indicate she belongs with the other gold-diggers on Buried. Make sure you are "cute" when you point out these things so she can't stay mad at you. Also I'm not sexist, but lets face facts, the gold digging population is massive lol. (This also works well if you are playing with a little boy who sounds like a girl, just don't acknowledge it when he says he's a boy.)
  3. Anyone else disappointed by the tease of "No Man's Land" in the trailer? I was really hoping that there would be another solo challenge like there was for Moon. I am ranked 2048 on the No Man's Land challenge with 229 kills. Also I've always wondered why of all the places where 115 is present, Hanger 18, in Area 51 is the only place that the zombies are spawning endlessly and there is no rounds, only sirens indicating increasing Zombie strength. I thought for sure that No Man's Land in Origins would be one of those places. I would've loved the idea even if it was in the "Crazy Place" or and they had a 1000 zombie limit or something before you could escape, and the leaderboard would record the number of times you've escaped along with the number of kills in the "Crazy Place" Zombies health starts at round 1 and increases every 30 seconds, with a Panzar Soldat spawning in every 10 rounds. Just a thought.
  4. -I forgot to say Sprint and Jump in the mud. Don't just jump, sprint and Jump. And Multi-Player Strategies: -Circles near Staminup seem to work fairly well. -Circles near generator 6(?) behind the church in the Footprint. -Also if you zig-zag down the mud slopes towards the trenches, by the time you get to the bottom you'll have a solid train behind you.
  5. I agree. There are a couple things that always seem to get me. I play mostly Solo (highest round is 30), due to having a roommate that interrupts every game I play. Pause is a godsend. Anyways my main causes of death are: 1) The spawns. I'll turn around (slowly thanks to the mud) to blast the line of zombies behind me and by the time I turn around (slowly) there's 2 zombies in front of me that wedge me in, *slappity slap* and I'm lounging in a mud pit. 2) Panzar Soldats. These guys are assholes. Not only do they kick my ass fairly consistently on round 23, they make me absolutely rage. Watch their faces next time they have you clawed in and are roasting your face like a Christmas turkey with their flamethrower. They tip their head back a bit and shake it side to side, as if we are watching the WWF in early 2000's and the Dudley Boys are doing the "Whazzzzzaappp" off the turnbuckle. Yes it's a pretty hick reference, I grew up in a town called Chilliwack, so sue me. I don't care if it's day or night and the baby and people upstairs are sleeping, I can't help but roar out a mighty "FUUUCCCKKK YEEEEUUUUWWEEEE!!!!" before I contain my rage. But seriously these guys know when you don't have jug, I swear to that they know. A violent Clang-bang seems to ensue every time I lose jug. I counter these problems by: -ZOMBIE SHIELD ASAP -Constant jumping in the mud. I had a race with my friend coming down the mud slope from the church. He was sprinting and not hopping and I was just hopping, and I destroyed him. JUMP IN THE MUD! -Get the MP40 by round 4, and remember, keep knifing to kill the zombies. 2 bullets in the chest and 1 knife on round 4 kills a zombie. 3 bullets and a knife on round 5. -Always keep 1 undamaged Zombie at the end of each round. Remember, so long as he is not grazed by a bullet, you can book it around the map and do what you need to do and he'll just keep respawning. If you're not sure, just run far enough ahead of the zombie that he won't try to respawn closer, thus dying. Crawlers are worthless in BO2. I find it easiest to shoot only the zombies in my train that are running, ideally leaving me with only walkers. -When you have your undamaged Zombie, this is the best time to do the Generators. Remember, the generators will give you 100 points on top of a refund for the cost of the generators, so 100 points profit, and another 100 if you reach the cap (10) killing the templar zombies that try to stop you. -Staminup. -Run circles around the perimeter of Generator 4, and watch out for the Robots. Make sure your circles go through both footprints or they will start to cut you off. Also going through the footprints are useful as you can get the Robot to stomp the Panzer Soldat into the mud. -If you're going for the wind staff pieces via getting stomped on by the Robots, do it early on solo, when you only have quick revive and jug, in case you screw up. Saves money. I am stubborn and very determined to use Takeo in solo and try to do the Easter egg. From what I've seen, it may be possible, I haven't seen evidence to the contrary. Just remember, Use Takeo as only he can see the phantom zombie. Corey Remember, you can't spell slaughter without laughter.
  6. By that logic, then Treyarch can't change what 115 looks like (Shi no Numa meteor in the cinematic intro).
  7. I wanted to put forward my theory of what Origins is really the origins of. I've backed up my ideas with FACT, and I believe I've found the real suject originating in Origins: Samantha's Games that she plays with people as the Demonic Announcer. Origins did not happen. This was all in Sam's imaginary game with her friend Eddy. Maxis is a regular human, Original four met just before the final cutscene takes place. However do not dispair, we gain more than we lose. We lose 1 Map of storyline progression for the O4. We gain new insight into Samantha, and the Zombies Story in general.. As well as a really fun "What if?" type map, with the same concept of Marvel Comic's "What if...?" issues, all from Samantha and Eddy's perspectives as children. However that fact alone does not make Origins any less meaningful, as it helps us to solve a long standing element of the Zombies Storyline, that seems to take away from how real it all could be. That being, the games: The box, chalk drawings, teddy bears, etc etc. My theory provides a solution that makes the Game-y part of zombies more real, and provides the backstory for why the characters get caught in one place playing round after round, Samantha is playing a game with them, and here's where it Originated. Sam lives with Maxis, near Der Riese. She is just a little girl at this time, playing games based on what she saw, characters based on who she saw and events that occured, to and around Sam, at Der Riese. She did not imagine anything outside of Origins. (Mob of the Dead is Purgatory, nothing related to Sam) Time/date of End Cutscene: Before first Disaster at Der Riese, Before Richtofen went Crazy and after capture of Tank/Nickolai/Takeo but before their brainwashing. DURING WW2 I would say a few months after June 25, 1940 after the Germans conquer France. I believe Richtofen's successful teleportation on January 4, 1940 to be the key motivation for the German invasion of France 6 months later. Reasons provided below. First off, my supporting evidence: -Sam saw Richtofen before he went crazy. Therefore the imagined Richtofen is not crazy in her Origins Story/Game. January 4, 1940 Richtofen touched the MPD after teleporting and becomes schizophrenic. He also begins construction on the moon at this time and Samantha does not see him that often anymore, preferring to remember Edward Richtofen as he was before this date, thus why he is sane in Origins. (Dad's close business partner goes crazy, a child would still remember him as he was before he was crazy.) -In the Cutscene, the Air raid siren takes place right before bombing occured or the escape of the giant at the Der Riese facility. -The dieselpunk giants: a similar giant to the one she saw at the real der riese. If you look at the styling of Der Riese, for example the doors in the spawn room, they sport a passing resemblance to the Dieselpunk styling of the shield from origins and the Giant Robots. -Remember the brains in the jars filled with Green Liquid, at Der Riese used to activate the Easter egg Song = she imagines Dr. Maxis' brain in a jar filled with Green Liquid in Origins. (She associates the traumatic imagery of a disembodied brain with her father seeing as it's his place of work.) -Fluffy is normal at this point in time = No hell hounds in Origins. This game she was playing with her friend took place before the teleportation incident at Der Riese, thus Sam has never seen fluffy as a hellhound or any hellhounds at all. -No Nova Crawlers/Minions/Jumping Jacks in Origins = Sam had not seen any of these yet, thus she did not imagine them in her Origins game. -Her knowledge of Agartha/Norse gods = She lived with an occult scientist whose real life equivalent likely was someone in the Vril Society/Thule Society so she picked up words from time to time. -She calls it the Great War in the intro = from her, and everyone around her's perspective in the timeline World War 1 was THE Great War. Even though this is happening during WW2, WW2 is not called that yet, and actually until the 7 week conquering of France in May/June 1940, many were calling the german invasion of poland, "The phony war." -The reason Sam chooses NORTHERN FRANCE (The intro cutscene does NOT implicitly state where the map takes place, it merely zooms in on the map, so as far as anyone knows, it's up in the air.) is that is what she has overheard people talking about scientific expiditions to collect meteors, in order to keep their supply of 115 steady. And here's the place they go to get it: Normandy, France. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'Aigle_(meteorite) -A little observation: Nowhere did it state that Samantha imagined ALL of the events in Zombies. The end cutscene only stated that Origins was imagined. --- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----- Now the storyline complicagtions that interfere with my theory and my fixes: I'm adding an assumption: Richtofen had Dempsey Nikolai and Takeo at Der Riese, where they were POW's. before being taken to Siberia for brainwashing. Sam met them at this time. = They were normal guys pre Richtofen craziness and brainwashing. The Date given for the capture of Dempsey, Nikolai and Takeo given in Call of the Dead was August/September 1945 but I have a major problem with this. The was was over, Germany lost. I believe 1942 would be a better fit for all the events mentioned on the call of duty wikia timeline listed as occuring in 1945. For my theory to work I'm doing a personal retcon for the events of 1945 as listed on the CoD Wikia, to have actually taken place in 1942. (That is the only major change I am making to iron out a wrinkle in an otherwise near bulletproof theory.) Here's why: 1) No good reason for Richtofen to be capturing random after the war was over (sept 1945) and he had an objective that didn't require brainwashing prisoners - the objective being accessing the MPD on the moon. Now if this were to occur in 1942, it would make more sense for him to have brainwashed super soldiers. In order to take over the MPD, he would need to kill many people to harvest their souls, thus the Super Soldiers. 2) Samantha would become trapped in the MPD shortly after playing the Origins game with Eddy, thus the "Zombies Game" would be fresh in her mind. 3) I don't believe Richtofen would be able to pull off teleporting to the moon for 5 whole years without being caught once. Not with the materials to build a moon base. 2 Years, I can buy that, but not 5. Especially given his mental issues after the initial contact with the MPD. 4) It is stated that in 1942 Richtofen and Groph/Shuster finish the moon base and the Vril Generator, why would there be a 3 year gap between them finishing the apparatus to enter the MPD and actually doing it? This makes no sense given that they are able to make a moon base and decipher ancient Vril Technology in 2 years but it takes them 3 more years to figure out how to use it? Final Discrephancy: The Letters Let me make this short and sweet. They were a troll from Trollarch themselves. Yes, you heard it, a sneaky crafty misleading but well played troll in order to advertise Origins on Facebook. Anything referring to Uneasyness or Sickness, is really a reference to the Spanish Flu which claimed millions in the time period these letters were written. The real issue was not zombies, or robots, but rather Tanks and the flu. The 4 Heros did go to war for their countries and they all survived. They were veterans of 20+ Years in their respective Countries armies, but zombies fighters WW1 Era they were not. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now is there anything in Origins that could not be attributed to something in Samantha's daily life during the time she lived with Dr. Maxis before all the shit really hit the fan? I don't believe so. So timeline looks like this now: Sam/Eddy Final Cutscene in Origins, then Events in WaW and Black Ops as we have known all along. Origins the map/gameplay did not occur, Sam was merely using things/people/ideas in her life that she had seen at der riese, up until the point in history where she plays the Origins Game with Eddy with their action figures. ___________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ The bottom line: What Treyarch added to the storyline was the ORIGINS of the objective/rules/ideas used for the "Games" Samantha later plays as the Demonic Announcer with our characters in each map. Once she is in the MPD she draws upon her experience playing zombie games with Eddy and merges her fantasy with our hero's reality. THUS enhancing the storyline by giving an actual backstory for the "Game" played at each map, so now we know it wasn't just some duty of the demonic announcer to play this specific game with people, but rather it was based on the experiences of Samantha's Childhood Pretend Games she used to play. Perhaps Treyarch was more clever than we thought, and now we know the Origins to the Zombies Game the Demonic Announcer AKA Sam (Usually) plays with us every map. Sure, the gameplay experience in Origins is a throwaway, a damn fun throwaway, and so was Mob of the Dead in Purgatory. At least Origins added something interesting to the storyline and it actually gave us some backstory on Sam, that was interesting foreshadowing that she would've never imagined. Problems solved, maps can still be added and considered Canon. Maps can add to the story and they aren't just a children's imaginary game. For even more good news, read below: ========================================================================= ADDITIONAL PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED BONUS THEORY: She did not imagine anything outside of Origins, though an argument could be made that she imagined the New Crew's adventures, as she had nothing but time on her hands on the Moon, with her no longer being the demonic announcer, and still having the active imagination of a child so she imagined what it would be like to survive zombies on earth after those missles hit, the only way she knew, through the zombie game. This also explains why Misty is the lead of the new crew, Sam is living vicariously through her imaginings of being beautiful Misty, not ugly old Richtofen. This could be why in Buried, Richtofen gets stuck in Samuel's body, thus karma is getting back at Richtofen for trapping Samantha in his body... This one is far out there, but I can't pass on the opportunity to wipe these 4 new retards from my mind, but for now, they remain....BURIED.
  8. PINNAZ called it on Aug 13th and I quote: "In the end, I think it's all about Nordic Mythology & it related to - Odin, Thor, Yggdrasil. When Maxis talks of Agartha, it is NOT Agartha, it is Asgard & Valhalla. These are the "ORIGINS" of the Black Sun & Nazi Zombies. " In response to a message I sent him regarding Origins' Origins. It's strange how some things are in such plain sight yet the simple symbolism is lost on many of us. Now I have my doubts about their being much talk about yggdrasil as the majority of the trees I've seen in zombies have been trench walls or floorboards...however... My question, who is DER fourth RIESE that we see trashed out of bounds by the southern Tank stop? Anyone able to noclip this bad boy and figure it out? I want to say it is Balder (Baldr, Baldur). If someone does no clip under the map or use the Theater view/free roam glitch to try to find this other giant's name, remember, when you are teleported inside the robot's "Heads" you are technically being teleported underground, underneath the map, as evidenced when someone goes down inside one of these heads, their Revive icon indicates their position to be underground. Anyways just wanted to call out PINNAZ on either being a time travelling Jon Titor (sp?) who's come back in time and has been revealing the future to us, or else give props (again) for seeing things for what they are, and opening eyes and minds. Also sorry for not replying to your msgs, I got them just after I left town, to work, and well, Origins since I returned I would've replied if I had my laptop but Touchscreens and typing don't mix for this gringo. *Throws handful of change at a crowd and flees*
  9. I was doing a massive amount of research last night trying to figure out where Origins will take place, and in doing so I was looking at potential locations in Northern France that had connections to the Vril or Thule Society, places that had interesting artifacts or mysterious archaeological finds, as well as geographical similarities and similar structures seen in the Trailer for Origins. Based on what I've seen and read, I believe the location is in Normandy. Origins is supposed to be located in Northern France, and so here's my evidence for Normandy, which seems to fall in line with the Zombies storyline as well as the occult ideas that have been brought into play The Two Lions, Sound familiar?: We've seen them before and quite recently.. -Die Rise - on either side of the spawn room door? -Buried - on the doors leading into the haunted/witches/gold-digger's house. I believe these lions represent the Flag of Normandy (back when it was a province.) http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... rmandy.jpg That seems to be too much of a coincidence to me, and looking more into what's in Normandy, here's what I found: Apparently Saint-Jean de Livet (Another city/town in Normandy) was the location where mysterious 65 Million Year old "metallic tubes" were discovered, which would be in line with the Vril being an ancient civilization on Earth, and would fit right in with the occult nature of the storyline http://www.ancient-wisdom.co.uk/metallurgy.htm Scroll down to "The metallic ‘tubes’ from Saint-Jean de Livet." Apparently these could not have been formed naturally....and this is the type of conspiratorial thinking Treyarch would inspire us to do... maybe we will end up with more questions than answers for once Saint-Jean de Livet is also where the mysterious and very interesting Bayeux Tapestry is located. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayeux_Tapestry Perhaps Origins and the end of the world could be a prophecised event in the Zombies Storyline. A quote from Wikipedia quoting Heinrich Himmler, who was right there beside Hitler in the Vril/Thule Society, talking about the Bayeux Tapestry. "During the Second World War Heinrich Himmler coveted the work regarding it as "Important for our glorious and cultured Germanic history" Normandy gives us our Illuminati connections with the Dukes of Normandy and their ties to William the Conqueror and thus the bloodline leading to the Throne of England. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_of_Normandy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Falaise Also interesting, some guy's conspiratorial page: http://removetheveil.com/strike-zone-1/ (which includes those pictures from the Dark Knight Rises which predict the Sandy Hook Shootings, but also interestingly enough he makes mention of the Templar Knights and their downfall, and it being 700 years to the date before Normandy/D-Day... I don't buy into most of what he is talking about but he has a few interesting thoughts nonetheless. That's pretty much it for my main theory, let me know what you guys think? Below are a couple theories I was working on for the location of Origins and the storyline. ================================================================================ One idea I've speculated is that we will see the roots of 935 develop in Origins, and I believe that it will be rooted in the Vril/Thule Society and their roots during and after the first world war. I won't go into it much but I think that Based on the similarities between Dr. Schuster's (sp?) name and of Dr. Schumann (a project lead developing the Jenseitsflugmaschine or "Other World Flight Machine"), I can't help but think (and hope) that we may have some parallels drawn between Dr. Maxis/Sophia and Dr. Haushofer/Maria Orzich. This entire scenario seems to fit with the timeline and the locale of Origins so I hope things will be ....fleshed ...out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps we are going to find out that the Original Crew are going to be downed pilots, based on the Red Baron/Richtofen theory, as well as it seems somewhat plausible given all of the planes seen flying around in the trailer for Origins... if the "metal man" somehow lost his shit and started attacking everyone indiscriminately, we may have our motive for our hero's having teamed up in the first place.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also a somewhat out of place idea I had would be to do with the archaeological site at Glanum, the original four characters, and the Mausoleum of the Julii. Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glanum My idea would be that the O4 would be discovered to be the actual people on the Mausoleum, with a prophecy detailing them as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (since let's face it, they pretty much gave Earth the ol' giant stone Obelisk right in her Great Rift, if ya get what I'm saying.) Another part of this theory is that the Mausoleum of Julii has four faces....the North Face, East Face, West Face and South Face, which we could match up to the O4's characters geography with a little imagination (and even less imagination if we were to use the Mexican who had his spleen removed at Ricthofen's pleasure.) -Unfortunately the big disproving fact of this one is the explicitly stated "Northern France" where Glanum is Southern.) ============================================================================== And Finally, a Interesting bit of Info: "NASA's solar observatory twin probes STEREO have gone far enough into space to capture the Moon's transit of the Sun. The spacecraft captured the Moon in a video as a dark disc racing across the Sun's face. When the Moon eclipses the sun as seen from Earth, it's described as an occultation rather than a transit. An occultation occurs when an object in the sky obscures or completely blocks the view of another object. Read more: http://www.ehow.com/about_6559892_sun-t ... nsit_.html Let me reiterate: When the Moon's TranZit is across the Sun it's called an OCCULTATION. Moon Tranzit Occult. That is a pretty clear indication of the roots of Zombies if I've ever seen one. So...what do you think? Xbox Live Gamertag: KarnaL InstincT Name: Corey
  10. I was having very similar thoughts during my massive binge-ucation marathon I went on tonight, about the Thule/Vril societies and their involvement with Origins. I really like your concepts regarding Ricthofen and the Illuminati and I feel inspired to share a few ideas of my own. I've wound up postulating several ideas/theories (retrospectively spoken at 6:30AM) so I separated them with fancy lines made of equal signs. Enjoy. ================================================================================ Just on the simplest observation of the similarities between Dr. =============================================================================== One idea is that we are going to find out that the Original Crew are going to be downed pilots, based on the Red Baron/Richtofen theory, as well as it seems somewhat plausible given all of the planes seen flying around in the trailer for Origins... if the "metal man" somehow lost his shit and started attacking everyone indiscriminately, we may have our motive for our hero's having teamed up in the first place.. =============================================================================== Also a somewhat out of place idea I had would be to do with Glanum, the original four characters, and the Mausoleum of the Julii. Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glanum My idea would be that the O4 would be discovered to be the actual people on the Mausoleum, with a prophecy detailing them as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (since let's face it, they pretty much gave Earth the ol' giant stone Obelisk right in her Great Rift, if ya get what I'm saying.) Another part of this theory is that the Mausoleum of Julii has four faces....the North Face, East Face, West Face and South Face, which we could match up to the O4's characters geography with a little imagination (and even less imagination if we were to use the Mexican who had his spleen removed at Ricthofen's pleasure.) Unfortunately the big disproving fact of this one is the explicitly stated "Northern France" where Glanum is Southern.) ================================================================================= And here's my final, most compelling theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint-Jean-de-Livet The Wikipedia page doesn't say much except for a couple key facts - the geographic location: Northern France and more specifically the region: Normandy (which obviously, which would act as the gateway to the allied victory of WW2.) OK so what? Well my friends, to quote "How Stuff Works" Youtube videos (STDWYTK)....ahem.......Here's where it gets crazy: Firstly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvados Look on the right side of the page. You'll see a red flag with two gold lions on it. The Coat of Arms for Calvados, as well as the flag representing the old Normandy province. Sound familiar? Die Rise, on either side of the spawn room door? How about Buried, on the doors leading into the haunted/witches/gold-digger's house. These aren't your run of the mill hints Treyarch is dropping, these are in-your-god-damn-face-or-just-within-your-perepheral-vision hints. So what does this indicate? To me, in Calvados, possibly, lies the gateway to Argatha as hinted to by the lions being on or beside doors...or perhaps it just indicates that Origins will open the gates to your mind's eye... I don't know... But what I do know, is that blowing up the Earth in Moon was absolutely unexpected and totally f'ing awesome, so my hopes are skyrocketing.... Secondly: http://www.ancient-wisdom.co.uk/metallurgy.htm Scroll down to "The metallic ‘tubes’ from Saint-Jean de Livet." This basically details some 65 million tubes discovered in Saint-Jean de Livet that could not have been formed naturally... this, given in context with the other information on this webpage leads me to believe this is the type of conspiratorial thinking Treyarch would inspire us to do... maybe we will end up with more questions than answers for once Thirdly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayeux_Tapestry "During the Second World War Heinrich Himmler coveted the work regarding it as "Important for our glorious and cultured Germanic history" ~Wikipedia Quote. Also we have our Illuminati links with the Dukes of Normandy (them Duke boys are at it again... ) and their ties to William the Conquerer and thus the bloodline leading to the Throne of England. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_of_Normandy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Falaise http://removetheveil.com/strike-zone-1/ ---------------------------------------------------------------- That is all of my theories.
