  1. We saw the cutscene and i got the calling card, but no gamerscore or xbox achievement wich i weird.
  2. Hi All, I finally found a team of talkers that wouldn't (and for once didn't) back out and we completed the Easter Egg. I have the summoning key icon showing but i didn't get an achievement for it. Did we do something wrong or only half finish the EE? Im sure there will already be a topic on this. If someone could please point me in the direction of finding what ive missed it would be much appreciated. Thanks Bod
  3. Its quite clear in all the videos I've seen, that there is no green, like a perma perk drop. You may have managed to stop on a single frame that is greener than normal, but watching it in real time there is no green. Its also really obvious (which I havnt seen any one mention yet) that he explodes when he dies, like a napalm zombie. That is the ORANGE sparkles are that you are seeing. Having said that, there is a possibility that there is a perma perk drop, with orange sparkle because they have red eyes.
  4. Look at 1:48. Do we see a zombie die without being shot when he is under the possible Acid Sprinkler Trap? My2keV2IIQ0
  5. I dont understand what you are getting at here. I see wires holding up a section of bridge in that image. And we know that sections of the bridge must have been built, because the electric chairs are on the bridge. Thanks for letting us know about the update though :)
  6. Yeah I have seen this before. This game was pretty good for once, but it wasnt perfect. You're probably right. Everyone keep an ear out in round 45 just to see if it happens again. Remember it didnt happen at the start of the round!
  7. I agree, so maybe if it isn't to do with the map it might be a new upgrade that we are currently unaware of? It also wasn't the Insta Kill one, as I was just running with the sliquifier and leaving most perks.
  8. I just did my highest solo run on Die Rise. 30 seconds or a minute into Round 43 there was a few explosions (when I was in free cam mode they all looked close to the building) and possibly heard a voice before my character said this: VqreZrTAQvk I have pretty noticeable hearing loss and if there are lots of loud noises at the same time, I cant hear voices very well. So I hope you guys can help me out? What is he saying? and does it mean that anything changes at this point? Before you ask: * I didn't gain any Persistent Perks. * I Didnt have any Persistent Perks except Quick Revive to loose. * I Didnt collect or drop anything. * My kills at the time were not at a round number (should this have indecated anything). I cant think of anything it could be...
  9. Yes, but im saying that to get there you use the plane possibly? Correct. :)
  10. There is much more to it than just a revival. There will be elements of the game that can only be activated or powered wile in Purgatory Mode. I'm sure the easter egg will utilize Purgatory in many ways as well.
  11. I think it will be like Who's Who, because you can have tokens to use Purgatory. However if you are downed without tokens, I'm not sure if you keep your loadout.
  12. So far, this is how I think Purgatory Mode works. As we have heard, you spawn in to the game in Purgatory Mode. And to start the game, I believe you have to shock your character back into life. Your character will be marked by a blue eye symbol. In this video you don't see the shock, but you do see the blue eye indicator on only one of the motionless characters. You will love my expert editing (free screen capture software use) in this I think LOL: rufkD4Iurls When you are in Purgatory Mode, you will have a time limit, that is indicated at the bottom of you screen, by a glowing blue eye symbol. This glow will fade from the right, as you run out of time. I believe that the electric shock powers you have in this mode, that allow you to interact with characters, devices and zombies, if used will decrease your available time in Purgatory Mode. Below are 3 images captured from the XBL preview that show the rate of decrease in energy over seven or eight seconds. There is a five or six second gap between image 1 and image 2, but only a one or two second gap between image 2 and image 3. And in my opinion the difference in the energy bar has decreased more between the last two. Image 1 - Spawn in with full power: Image 2 (+5 or 6 seconds) - Look at the power before he zaps the zombies, its very close to full. Image 3 (+1 or 2 seconds) - See the difference in the bar over this shorter period of time? Now this also raises a few important questions: 1a) Im guessing that if you run out of power before reaching your character, or dont have enough left when you reach him you are done! 1b) Now do you respawn in, or are you out of the game? 2) Will you have enough power/time to complete multiple tasks before your juice is gone? Damn, I had a couple more questions, but decided to read through it again and they have gone, so please add your thoughts, I'm gonna sleep on it.
  13. Yes, but im saying that to get there you use the plane possibly?
  14. This would be an early Christmas present for sure. If you look at the part in the trailer where they show the 4 electric chairs.. they're not located on the island. Doh, how did I miss the wires LOL. i have just had an idea! "No one escapes alive" maybe you use the plain to land on the bridge and get executed? [EDIT] I think I might be a little behind others now i've read on... I will catch up eventually.
  15. This would be an early Christmas present for sure.
  16. Thanks, Good Shout! I havnt had a proper look at that yet, but here it is:
  17. I really hope that the aircraft is a game ending challenge! But the question is, is it better to escape by round 10 (having completed all tasks as fast as possible) or can you hang on to round 30+ before you cant take any more? I also hope that even with a possible ending, there will be a leaderboard for highest rounds survived! and on that note: . Treyarch, Please fix the problem of leaderboard stats not counting if a lesser player cant handle a death and leaves the game! Thanks . .
  18. I have a feeling that you can use the tables with skulls and candles on, to access the afterlife without dieing and loosing your loadout. NGT (and maybe others) mentioned something about a cat and as we know they have 9 lives (I cant remember where they got this reference). Maybe you can only do this 9 times in a game? I'm sure that dieing off completely will also send you there though. Another idea is that maybe you have to go to the table and/or offer it zombies to retrieve a fallen comrade?
  19. I agree. My theory/hope is that you have to build something (access or transport), to get to off island locations. The locations will respawn and be lit by the guard tower like CotD. Imagine if you had to build a raft and row it to get there. Like the guys who escaped. Image of the Mythbusters recreation of their escape raft. Made from rain macs and other materials collected in the prison:
  20. Very good point! I didn't think of this and it would make perfect sense!
  21. I disagree with a couple things here. Firstly, I dont believe the badges above look alike and second there is normally only one warden in a prison (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Prison+Warden) and in the image you have 4. My theory is that this may not be a boss zombie, but instead may be a pain in a rear like the Napalm Zombies or Nova Crawlers. There could still be a Warden that we havnt seen. Also, you will see in the trailer that apart from the questioned image we only see zombies in inmate uniforms. We also have to remember that this is a game, so some things are changed to make the game easy for all levels of players to engage with. e.g. The game is set in 20s-30s as explained in the trailer, but the people we are playing and the things in the map like the bridge, would have been around in other times. So this might be the Warden with a different badge.

    Shanks!

Maybe if you make one out of a sharpened toothbrush. Most prisons had and have workshops. Even if Alkatraz didnt, the inmates would still have done most of the work around the prison and had access to various materials. You have to remember the guys who escaped (were never found)? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_1962_Alcatraz_escape

    Shanks!

That would be an interesting and more challenging start. However, I normally shoot then knife kill to maximise points. Without those extra bullet points, it might be a little to hard for newer players to get started and you couldn't get the Mustang & Sally. If PHD Flopper is back, im gonna be all over that!

    Shanks!

I'm hoping that instead of a bowie knife, we can buy or even build our own shank. And what if you can choose what kind of shank you build, by using different parts? that would be cool! Fingers crossed and only 11 days to go people. (EDIT) - Or what about a sock and a bar of soap? lol
  25. Reposting as there are 2 topics i've commented on: Here are a few things that will keep you safe and minimise your risk on this dodgy map! People are still dieing when going down the slide to the box or when dropping down to the AN-94. I have noticed that a death in these locations is MUCH MUCH more likely if ANYONE is 3 barring or less. I have never gone down in a good game with 0 lag and a fully stable connection. Recently I have also noticed in some games serious lag (which you would associate with 2 bars or a unstable connection), even when when all players have a constant, stable, 4 bar connection. This is making me think that the Activision/Treyarch servers or the data speed to their servers may now be under performing... has anyone else thought this? Here are a few tips on how to avoid glitched downs: (1) If you have a greatly extended time in the load screen, BACK OUT! (2) At the start of the game wait 5-10 seconds and if you are seeing low bars and you want to go 20+ rounds then leave. (3) I find that the risk of death due to lag is much higher if your connection is unstable (going from 3 to 4 bars every few seconds), than if you have a constant 2 bars. (4) If someone has already had a glitched death in your game, then minimize your times of leaving your spot. Every trip could be your last... (5) Avoid all jumps/slides when you see people killing large groups of zombies (you will see lots of yellow numbers by their points), as this will cause a natural lag in most games and could put you under the slide or short of your jump. As the rounds get higher this issue becomes a greater risk. Also, remember that when someone is not revived there could be a mass re-spawn of their zombies. Every player has their way of doing things. Here is my safer game strategy: (1) Never go down starting room elevator (unless grabbing keys later in the game)! You don't need power on strait away and it creates many opportunities to go down that just aren't necessary. (2) Stay in the starting room until round 3 or 4, letting zombies in and maximise your points with bullets then a knife kill. If you stay at your windows you dont need the PDW! (3) Build the Trample Steam before round 5 starts. Use this for the first free perk at round 5-7. In later rounds it is better to run circles around a Trample Steams and make sure you grab fresh ones! (4) DONT HIT THE BOX! Go down and grab the AN-94. It is the best gun in zombies by far. When its Pack-a-Punched, it will kill more zombies with the amount of ammo you have than any other gun (yes a lot better than an RPD because it doesn't spray and I believe it has higher damage per bullet but I could be wrong. (5) Before the next Nova Jumper round (10-12) you should have enough points to buy the rest of your 4 main perks in this order (Jugg & Double-Tap first, then Whos-who & Speed Cola). This will mean that you then get your 5th perk early in the game. (5a) Its still not time for the box! You dont need it yet even if you get mule kick. I wait until I have PAP AN-94 and at least 15000 points so I can just keep hitting the box to get what I want in 1 trip. If you are on the roof with a PAP AN-94 you will not run out of ammo in the early rounds. Also, if you wait until you have more points you can guarantee getting Galva-Knuckles as well in the one trip. (6) Time to go to the box. If it is in the spawn location DO NOT USE THE SLIDE! Drop down from the Trample Steam room and go to the window that looks at box. Use your Trample Steam to get in the window if you cant master a jump off of the sofa. (7) No matter where your spot is or your play style, the main things are to just minimise ammo usage (headshots) and try not to go around the map unless you have to. If someone is down in Buddha Room and you are on the roof you will probably not make it in time, so stay alive and spawn them in a good location (they will always spawn with white or the first player that is alive in order). (8) This is hard when in random games but, try to use Trample Steams to jump from the Trample Steam room to the roof or from the room with the hole that leads down to the AN-94 shaft, over to the roof box location (lower level). This stops deaths when going down to the AN-94. (8) If you make it to 25+ and you are playing with all 4 players on the roof you will want to start thinking about using a Trample Steam on the slope going up to the tower to save ammo. Also, I use the Sliquifier on the slope directly in front of you and wait 15-20 seconds and you can kill the build up of 10 or 20 zombiies with 1 shot of Sliquifier. If anyone knows a good thread with Die Rise tactics can you link it for me please and I will copy this last bit over if it isnt covered already. GOOD LUCK!
