  1. It isn't. It is just the PA system of Griffin Station. The voice is actually American. Richtofen specifically mentions this. If you'd like, I could try to fetch the quote.
  2. Yes, I've heard this before. However, I think this thread is in the wrong section unless you're implying that his son will be a playable character?
  3. I want the past 10 (11 counting Dead Ops) maps, just like how they did it last time.
  4. Why? I don't think so. But honestly, guessing just guessing. There really is no way to know until it comes out.
  5. Well 11 out of 32 World at War weapons were removed when transfered to Black Ops. Using a proportion, perhaps we will lose 24 of the 69 World at War + Black Ops weapons.
  6. Honestly, I don't know where this headshot figure is coming from. It is all relative, depending on the Round you are on. On round 4, a Galil can theoretically get 350 headshots, since it has 350 bullets. On round 100, a Galil will be lucky to get one headshot.
  7. Your comparison isn't fair. You are comparing a Mystery Box weapon with a wall weapon, an Assault Rifle with a Submachine Gun. Of course they aren't going to be equal. Here are the weapons, in their respective categories, from best to worst, damage-wise: Assault Rifles Galil STG-44 AUG FN FAL Commando G11 M16 M14 Famas Launchers China Lake M72 LAW Light Machine Guns Death Machine HK21 RPK FG42 BAR Deployable BAR Pistols M1911 CZ75 Dual Wield Python CZ75 Rifles M1 Carbine M1 Garand Gewehr 43 Arisaka Kar98k Shotguns M1897 Trench Gun Sawed-Off Double-Barreled Shotgun w/ Grip Double-Barreled Shotgun SPAS-12 HS10 Stakeout Olympia Sniper Rifles Dragunov L96A1 Scoped Kar98k Special Weapons Crossbow Explosive Tip Ballistic Knife Sub-Machine Guns Type 100 AK74u Thompson MP40 PM63 Spectre MP5K MPL These lists were obtained by comparing the upgraded total damage from each weapon, unless the weapon did not have an upgraded form.
  8. I don't have a mentor. Believe it or not I just taught myself. I in turn would teach my siblings, other family members, and friends. We started playing on Nacht, and I'd come up with various strategies that would either work well or fail miserably. Through trial and error, my records would go up, from Round 4 to the 20's. Every time a new map came out, I would then try that one. By now, I've seen other players play, but they didn't teach me a thing; I learned the game myself.
  9. I think this is an interesting type of guide. However, I feel you have an unfair bias of risk over conservatism. I had expected a 50/50 take, and you yourself say that you need a mix, but you seem to favor 70/30, which I don't really think does conservatism justice. Don't get me wrong though, it is a good guide :)
  10. im positive he says something about ascension. then they mention gersch, i get the names confused, so sue me. i know the gersche device teleportation is false. never heard of it before. Actually, I believe the Gersch Device teleportation. Honestly, it is the only way. It acts as a teleporter, and Richtofen is a master at making teleporters teleport through time; in fact, he is the only one that knows how. Why can't he do the same to a Gersch Device? There are no other teleporters in Ascension. It'd have to be a Gersch Device. But yes, Dempsey does mention Gersch in passing in Call of the Dead, referring to the Death Machine award at the end of the Easter Egg. (Btw, why aren't Nikolai's wives part of the story? It's part of his past.)
  11. I think you guys are being too harsh on Fated. Okay, Fated, I don't agree with you, but guys, if you're going to call out his theory and debunk it, actually debunk it. Dempsey never says anything about teleporting with a Gersch Device. You can suppose it, but there was never direct proof of it. He also never even mentions Yuri.
  12. @way2go: When you switched the HS10 for the Ray Gun, you expected it to be Thunder + Ray Gun + Thompson, but it instead was Ray Gun + Thundergun + Thompson. @ZotD: Well I suppose. Honestly, I don't know what to tell you but what I know to be true not only for me but for all the people I play with. So yes I suppose.
  13. Oh please. Think about it. 1% of the time. In a game Round 30+ while having Mule Kick all the time, it is nearly a certainty. That 1% kicks in every time you grab a weapon. Every time you go to the Mystery Box. Switch weapon loadouts 100 times and you're at the mean proportion. Honestly, I think 1% is a bit generously high.
  14. Guys. I reiterate. Mule Kick gives you a third slot. It will always hold true except for the unfortunate 1% of the time. Here is a fictional game right here. Start game. M1911 Buy a Kar98k. M1911 + Kar98k Buy Mule Kick, and then go to the Mystery Box. You get an AUG. M1911 + Kar98k + AUG You get downed and revived. M1911 + Kar98k You switch your M1911 for a M1 Carbine. M1 Carbine + Kar98k You go to the Mystery Box. You switch your Kar98k for an HS10. M1 Carbine + HS10 You buy Mule Kick and then a Thompson. M1 Carbine + HS10 + Thompson You go to the Mystery Box. You switch your M1 Carbine for a Thundergun. Thundergun + HS10 + Thompson You go to the Mystery Box. You switch your HS10 for a Ray Gun. Uh oh! Like I said, 1% of the time, it will switch on you. It is rare, but it happens. Let's say it happened this time. Ray Gun + Thundergun + Thompson You go to the Mystery Box. You switch your Thompson for a HK21. Ray Gun + Thundergun + HK21 You go down and get revived. Ray Gun + Thundergun You buy Mule Kick, and then you go to the Mystery Box. You get a Spectre. Ray Gun + Thundergun + Spectre You Pack-A-Punch the Thundergun. Ray Gun + Zeus Cannon + Spectre You go to the Mystery Box. You switch your Spectre for an L96A1. Ray Gun + Zeus Cannon + L96A1 You upgrade the other two weapons. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + Zeus Cannon + L115 Isolator Pentagon Thief steals your Zeus Cannon. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + L115 Isolator He gets away. You buy an AK74u off the wall. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + AK74u + L115 Isolator He comes back later and steals your L115 Isolator. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + AK74u You get your gun back. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + AK74u + L115 Isolator Space Monkeys attack the Mule Kick machine, taking it. Porter's X2 Ray Gun + AK74u I don't think I can spell this out any further.
  15. Are you looking for an explanation of Zombies or a specific person's take on Zombies?
  16. While all of this is correct, I do have to point something out though. There is an about 1% chance at any time that when you get a weapon that your weapon order will jumble. I've done this test numerous times. I'd have my order completely figured out. [Weapon A > Weapon B > Weapon C] Then I get a new weapon and it is [Weapon B > Weapon A > Weapon C]. It is uncommon (1%), but it DOES happen sometimes. Whenever this happens to me with my power weapon, I usually just end up getting rid of it and then getting it back again in the proper place, so no harm done. It's just annoying. EDIT: DO note however, that minus this small inconvenience, way's explanation is TRUE.
  17. going back in time to stop richtofen would cause another paradox. in the future you wouldn't have to stop him so you wouldnt have to go bqck in time but then he will do the bad things so you have to go back but then you wont but then you will and so on and so forth. I STILL don't get why So many people think we're gonna go back in time to stop Richtoffen. Yeah. Richtofen invented the Teleporter. And he made the discovery how to travel through time with it. The others don't know how as far as we know.
  18. No, no. The whole 2013 stuff is the Call of Duty Wiki spreading false information. They get that from the 3/17 on the clipper on the opening scene. However, that means month/day, not month/year. The year would be "present day", which was 2011.
  19. Perhaps he was trying to find one that would fit in Ascension when the Zombies started coming after them, so he didn't bother getting out of it until they were in the room in CotD. He then later put it on when he needed to. That could work, but I wonder why he would need it on Moon. The suit available on moon (PES) seems to fit over any kind of clothing, unless everybody is just stripping in the receiving bay... Where am I taking this topic? =X Perhaps Richtofen was wrong? Maybe he thought he'd need the suit, and being selfish he only got one for himself.
  20. Perhaps he was trying to find one that would fit in Ascension when the Zombies started coming after them, so he didn't bother getting out of it until they were in the room in CotD. He then later put it on when he needed to.
  21. Time travel cannot work by taking them to an alternate universe. That's not possible. The teleporters only moved through space, finding out that they could also move through time. That's four dimensions: length, width, height, and time. Four. Not three. And not five.
  22. Yeah, the game is programmed not to do it. Sometimes, depending on the programming, it is possible just rare to get seemingly impossible things, but not always, and I don't think this one is. I don't think you'll ever be able to get the Box right away. However, a contrary example would be the Stielhandgranates that had like a .01% of being found in the Mystery Box back in WaW.
  23. This is what I say to that: Also, Call of the Dead can't be in the '60's, because the actors aren't alive at that time.
  24. I think Moon could be any time from the '60's to the future. While the future is cleaner, the '60's makes sense too. It's simply preference: Do you want something without paradoxes or something with a multilinear theory? Personally, I prefer the former, but who am I to make that decision?
