  1. You have no idea how much I was hoping to title this "Unlimited Quick Revives in Solo". I always wondered this, but no one had ever given me any answer. So I set out to find it myself. In Solo, when you use three Quick Revives, you cannot buy a fourth. Not only can you not buy a fourth, but if you have used all three, you can't even get a fourth Quick Revive from a Perk Reward Power-Up. But I wondered... what if you got Quick Revives from Perk Rewards before you bought the third from the machine? Could you get around the limit that way? If this turned out to be true, then the question of buying Quick Revive at all became a strategy. Do you risk it? Can you make it to your next or do you have to buy it now and lose it forever more? etc. So I tested that. I played a game of Call of the Dead, since getting Perk Rewards there is rather easy. 1. I bought Juggernog. 2. I bought Mule Kick. 3. I bought Speed Cola. 4. I bought PhD Flopper. 5. I killed George, getting Deadshot Daiquiri. 6. I killed George, getting Stmain-Up. 7. I killed George, getting Double-Tap Root Beer. 8. I killed George, getting Quick Revive. 9. I killed myself. 10. I bought Juggernog. 11. I bought Mule Kick. 12. I bought Speed Cola. 13. I bought PhD Flopper. 14. I killed George, getting Stamin-Up. 15. I killed George, getting Deadshot Daiquiri. 16. I killed George, getting Quick Revive. 17. I killed myself. 18. I bought Juggernog. 19. I bought Mule Kick. 20. I bought Speed Cola. 21. I bought PhD Flopper. 22. I killed George, getting Quick Revive. 23. I killed myself. ... Then the Quick Revive machine disappeared! Not once did I touch it, but sadly, it still counted. Not what I was hoping for, to say the least. I couldn't get another Perk Reward to give me Quick Revive, as expected when the machine is no longer there. I ended up dying on Round 38 because George pinned me in a corner and I had used all the Quick Revives... I can't believe the Awful Lawton doesn't work on him... So, not the results I was hoping for, but results are results, so I figured I'd "publish" them.
  2. Tac's right. There is a hole, like a depression in the surface, i.e. a crater. No, not a doughnut hole. But I'm tellin' ya. The idea of the explosions simply shifting continents around is ridiculous. It'd obliderate them. Any lateral movement, even if it did exist, would miniscule compared to the vetical movement of everything that's chucked into space! Imagine punching a sandwich really hard and expecting the bread to fly off horizontally.
  3. Thanks jay! Rissole, of course. But I've never actually been part of this website on-season. Superhands, do you want your name added? And while that's true, having a bunch of nearly similar challenges defeats the purpose no? For example, No Power practically equals No Perks. Both are nearly equally hard because they don't let you get Juggernog.
  4. But it's a meaningless piece of info. The Earth that is shown is completely altered by continental drift. You find where the rockets hit... and then what? You see where they hit the continents that have no names? And are you supposing they make the continents drift even further? That's highly unlikely.
  5. The three missiles have nothing to do with it. The Earth looks like that before it is even blown.
  6. I love gun variety and I hope they increase. Personally, I would be giddy like a schoolgirl if they added all the weapons from WaW, BO, and BO2 into a single map of Zombies, or at least a combination of maps. Don't think it'll happen, but still, it'd be awesome. A double Pack-A-Punch would be cool, but I don't see it happening. The idea has a lot of speed bumbs and problems, compatibility and balancing issues and whatnot. It CAN be done, but I don't see them taking the time to do it. It has one aesthetic drawback as well; it's changing from tradition. I know they're making many changes, but just how far are they willing to go? We know to SOME extent, they will be keeping roots in the traditional gameplay. How far that extent is, however, is unknown. Not to mention, that would make only a third of the playable guns actually real. I'm all for futuristic weapons and everything but I love my history. I find it hard to enjoy games when all the weapons are fake, unrealistic, and hard to identify; having a bunch of regular guns with one laser gun makes the laser gun unique. If you have all laser guns, then they're just whatever.
  7. Honestly. Fighting werewolves in a Zombies game is just stupid. We might as well fight ghosts, dragons, or succubi! You don't just insert some random mythological creature.
  8. I think this option should only exist in private matches. People might abuse it on public matches. (Dumb people would whine about it being paused too long even though they consented to it.) Besides, you would only ever need it on private matches anyway (most of the time). Also, I do not think there should be a time limit. Or perhaps, you then vote on the time limit, if any. For example: Player 1 wants 10 minutes Player 2 wants 24 minutes Player 3 wants 24 minutes Player 4 wants 24 minutes Since all players cannot agree, only 10 minutes will be allotted. Going to the lowest number is better than the highest because the game is meant to be played, not paused. Pausing is an inconvenience, so the guy(s) who don't need to wait that long should get priority. This assumes of course you're not rational people who can come to a consensus. I think this, coupled with where if you lag out of a game, you are allowed a window of opportunity to rejoin the game in progress, would both make gameplay a lot better, and it would reduce losses to "I got murdered by Zombies" instead of "My connection faded out" or "I had to poop."

  10. Since it isn't Pangea, nor do I think it is some other landmass from the distant past,(http://www.bevpease.force9.co.uk/ki.maps.Cont-Drift.htm), I think it is a result of continental drift in the future. It makes sense. After all, I claim the time for Moon to be between 1960 and the future. Millenia in the future is a bit unexpected, but completely possible. I don't put too much effort into this train of thought though, at least for now. I don't want to if BO2 acts as if that thing IS current Earth, which would make it a goof on Treyarch's part. Although, if this does turn out to be correct, it solves the whole paradox of the issue. How do you have a sequal to a game where you blew up the world? Well, you blew up the world in the really distant future, so it really doesn't affect anything.
  11. Like I said guys, this only works if others partake in this.
  12. Okay I'm putting together the list. However, there are wayyy too many. I mean, I know they say more is better, but not when quality is lacking. I'm making a list where I'm excluding only the most ridiculous of the challenges. Then I'll present them, and I'd like you guys to say which ones you like more, and I'll put those at the top of the list. Making a series of 10 rules is not a challenge. It's a challenge to remember the rules when you're playing. Anyway, I'll let you guys decide. EDIT: Okay, I added a bunch in a chart. The list is temporary. I want you guys to tell me if there's any more that should be added that I didn't add, and if there's any that you guys think should be removed. If there's some up there that no one will play, then there's no point keeping track of it.
  13. Great, thank you. I've added what you've said.
  14. Actually, if you'd like to post challenges, I'd prefer if you posted it directly on the thread. The posts would help keep it alive :D
  15. Welcome! So after seeing Jay's thread about reinvigorating challenges, I thought I'd make a thread for it. Below is a list of challenges. And there's a leaderboard for the highest Rounds (or points or kills maybe sometime in the future). Further down is a list of players who have signed up with their available times to play. If this gets well done and becomes more fleshed out, I'll probably make more in-depth leaderboard graphics. Until then, this will do. Reasons for posting include: •Nominating a challenge to be added to the list. •Posting a score from a challenge you've done. •Ask for your name and available playing times to be added to the list. •Making a comment related to the thread. •Etc. [Additional listing below to be added to the image in bulk] No Power - VDKFACLM - Survive without turning the Power on. Listed members: jayghf1978 Rissole25 Ehjookayted
  16. Okay, cool, I'll make it then. However, it's popularity is only good if people actually post and participate. Thanks, but I think I can do the formatting. So I'll go make it now then.
  17. Has anyone made a thread where they listed all (or a bunch of) challenges? I tried searching, but I couldn't find anything. So if there isn't anything, then someone should make it. (I could.) EDIT: Oh, I see Rissole's thread for strategies also includes challenges. But... it's rather scanty. I think someone (like I said, I could) should make a thread listing a bunch of challenges that the community approves as well as Leaderboards for all submitted scores. Also, people could post on the thread asking for players to play challenges. The thread would be a challenge hub.
  18. The biggest problem I see with a challenge leaderboard (which I've always thought would be cool to do, as long as the challenges weren't stupid) is that definitive proof requires video, something the average player cannot do. And it's no fun when only a handful of players submit videos.
  19. Honestly, at first glance I didn't think this thread was going to be any good at all. Judging who's the best? But after reading it, I think you presented it well and I agree with everything you said. Good job.
  20. For the Receiving Bay thing, that's programmed into the game. Play a game of Solo, grab Quick Revive, and jump off the cliff. You'll end up back at the Receiving Bay without your Quick Revive.
  21. Oh. Wow. I'm stunned. Thank you. I didn't realize anyone really took what I said with too much weight... I gotta make a note to make sure I don't say anything stupid in the future I like what you have to say on A and B. But I'd like to say something about C. I think Mule Kick is a viable option, one that I usually choose because its my favorite. Take Der Riese for instance, co-op. Five Perks, but you have to choose four. Which will you leave out? I leave out Quick Revive, every time. I agree the controversiality over Double Tap v. Mule Kick, but Quick Revive? With two good people, going down is infrequent. And whenever one does go down, I already have to gather up his and my hordes, perhaps throw a Monkey Bomb or crossbow bolt. Quick Revive makes no difference whatsoever. Is it unhelpful? No, but it's really not that great. I usually get to revive my teammates with a bunch of time to spare. If I can't get him with my Monkeys or Crossbow, Quick Revive won't make a difference. But let's say you're on Solo. Then it's tricky. Then you have to have Quick Revive. So you have to drop either Double Tap or Mule Kick. I say drop Double Tap. Double Tap speeds up fire; that's it. It makes the game go by quicker. That's not a necessity; that's a luxury! Mule Kick isn't exactly necessary either, but it has practical use. Especially on Der Riese. Your third weapon is a point. Your other two, you choose two out of the following three: Wunderwaffe, Crossbow, Ray Gun. Pretty much any combo will do you well. One for emergencies, the other for killing those pesky mid-Round dogs. The fact that there are traps on the map makes it MORE of a reason to get Mule Kick. You'll be using traps most of the time, not shooting. So Double-Tap is more readily wasted. How about Verruckt? Well it has traps, so it could go either way. I use Mule Kick usually, and if survive to incredibly high Rounds (as in Rounds to where the Winter's Howl is ACTUALLY ineffective, not just weak), then I consider switching to Double-Tap. Shi No Numa I think could go either way. It has dogs, but they're rather easy. Honestly though, Kino and "Five" have the same problems. Anyway, that's just my take on it. I do appreciate this thread. I'm thankful that you value what I say, even if you don't fully agree. Seeing my name in the title of a thread was a bit of a shocker :P
  22. This guy is right. Pretty much nothing has been confirmed. All we know is that a level is going to be diner-esque, which is pretty much nothing. Anything else is NOT confirmed, but SPECULATION. I am amazed at how many posts this thread has on such scanty evidence.
  23. It's too particular honestly. They'd be appealing to a particularly narrow audience while the majority of the audience would be like "Who is that?" The only reason celebrities worked in Call of the Dead was because they were four separate celebrities from four different films, each one quote popular. If you're trying to get the largest possible output for an audience of a Zombies game (or section thereof), then the amalgram of the Buffy audience, Danny audience, Walking Dead audience, Freddy Krueger audience, and George Romero audience is nearly identical (although a bit smaller) than the total audience overall. Unless something of that fashion can be repeated, I don't think appealing to a singular media is going to work.
  24. I'm pretty sure the laugh was just because it is iconic for Zombies.
